Safnasafni - The Icelandic Folk and Outsider Art Museum - has an 67 m2 apartment available to rent for tourists. It has a separate entrance and is not connected to or involved in the daily function of the museum. It has features from its original construction and interior with some additional contemporary design. It consists of an entrance hall, bathroom, kitchen with 1 bed [172x75], a conjoined dining room and office with two single beds [195x97], and another room with a double bed and two smaller single beds for children and baby [160x75 and 95x45]
Pets are not allowed and there is a no smoking rule. Residents need to seek agreement to invite staying guests. Bookings need to be confirmed by e-mail. The rent should be paid on arrival [mutual security]
The apartment is rented out for a minimum of 2 nights, including bed-linen and towels for 2 persons, free wi-fi and free admission to the museum. Linen and towels for extra persons cost 25Ç per guest. Breakfast is not included and other meals are not served, but guests are free to use cooking facilities in the apartment. If the stay is prolonged, a discount on extra nights will be given.
The hosts are the Museum directors NÝels Hafstein and Magnhildur Sigurardˇttir. They live in the building ajoining the museum
